Congreso Internacional

These congresses, held every two years, are part of the Fundation’s research work on Comedy Theatre in the twentieth century, in collaboration with the University of Cádiz.

Specialists on the subject take part in these conferences. During the event, these specialists, along with scholars on comedy theatre, exchange and explain their studies and analyses concerning the genre.

To date, the following congresses have been held:

For 2004, the subject will be "Pedro Muñoz Seca: una nueva lectura".

Within the congress program, a special section is dedicated to a theatre personality who has a special relation to comedy. In past editions, various prestigious figures in Spanish theatre have been honored, including actress Mari Carrillo or playwright and author Antonio Gala.
